  I wish I could tell you the number of times I have been to this store. Anytime I wanted a piece of fiesta ware or a great trip away I would stop here. My husband recently took me on Valentine’s Day for a particular piece of Fiesta I was wanting. They proudly display on their doors a military discount. My husband has three careers in the Ems/law enforcement area. I greatly respect the military and in the past while visiting Cockrell they have given us the same 10% discount. On this particular day I asked for the discount and was informed it was against their policy, they only give a military discount. I understand that things happen, maybe small business owners lose too much money giving out discounts. However, when Becky the owner, was called and asked she flat out said no. I respect her answer and as a former customer, Suporter of law enforcement, fire, and ems personnel I also choose to never ask again for a gift certificate for my birthday, or Christmas. I will also guarantee that any girls road trip will not include stopping at Cockrell Mercantile. I support the service those men and women in law,fire,and Ems provide. I went down the road to Sedalia, MO to Juanita’s and she gladly gave me the discount. She also has a lovely selection of Fiesta.
