  Prior to visiting the location we had asked via social media if this place required an appointment. The response was 'no, come on in', only to be greeted to a requirement to create an appointment. We told the lady to schedule the dad & son combo and came back the next day. Arrived at the appointment the next day, the haircut went okay and turned out decently. I asked about the combo piece as that is what we requested the reservation for. They indicated that the 'reservation was only for the child' and that I would have to come back later to get a cut. A mild inconvenience to me but a loss of business for them. They generally seemed pleasant but the entire experience really just felt like a hassle.
